3x > 4m² presents three large-format works by three artist with different working methods. In their composition they have the effect of a triptych of painting in the exhibition space, in the centre of which a floor-seat installation invites the viewer not only to visually immerse himself in the work.

The most interesting painting is one that expresses
more of what one thinks than of what one sees“. Mark Rothko

Frank Hutter (master student of Sean Scully) creates geometric compositions, which he trenchantly emphasizes with gestural, luminous oil paints and composes a complex, conclusive pictorial work in many layers of overpainting.
Andrea Hanak (master student of Günther Förg) calls her artistic style informal and romantic at the same time. This paradox is created by fine, targeted scratching out in the form of organic motifs from the already applied paint on canvas.
Mark Killian (master student of Florian Pumhösl) works with monochrome digital prints of abstract details of buildings and architectural elements.
